Dear Colleagues and Friends,
I invite you to submit an abstract for the 11th International Conference on Porous Metals and Metallic Foams (MetFoam 2019) that I am organizing with other leaders in the field. This conference is scheduled for August 20-23, 2019 in Dearborn, Michigan.
Abstracts are due by December 3, 2018: submit yours today.
The 11th International Conference on Porous Metals and Metallic Foams (MetFoam 2019) is the largest cross-disciplinary, international technical meeting focused exclusively on lightweight porous/cellular materials. The conference will explore a number of technical topics that are critical to the advancement of this discipline, including, but not limited to:
- Fabrication by conventional and novel methods including additive manufacturing
- Design of porous metals, metallic foams, and lattice structures
- Industrial applications of porous metals and metallic foams
- Characterization and properties of compressed and un-compressed foam
- Modeling and simulation of porous metals and metallic foams
More details on the technical program are available on the MetFoam 2019 website.
I look forward to a successful meeting, and hope you will consider submitting an abstract and joining us in Dearborn, Michigan. While we hope you can participate in this program, we are unable to waive the conference registration fee for MetFoam 2019 or to provide travel support.

Metfoam 2017
Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce the upcoming International Conference on Porous Metals and Metallic Foams, “MetFoam 2017”, which will be held in Nanjing from September 14 to 17, 2017.
This is the 10th MetFoam conference and follows those successfully organized in Germany, Japan, Canada, Slovakia, Korea, USA and Spain. The conference will gather scientists and engineers all over the world interested in lightweight porous/cellular metals, their production, properties and their application in various fields. More than 200 international experts on these topics are expected and over 125 papers will be presented.
Nanjing is one of the historical and cultural capital cities in ancient times. Nanjing, the capital city of Jiangsu Province and the provincial political, economic and cultural center, is located in the lower reaches of Yangtze River, southwest of the province. Nanjing bears the reputation of the Capital of Ten Dynasties, being since the year 229 AD the capital of Wu, Eastern Jin, Song, Qi, Liang, Chen, Southern Tang, Taiping Kingdom and Republic of China subsequently.

and access our intranet with your login and your password. We have developed an on-line submission template for your abstracts. Please keep in mind that the maximum number of abstracts per registered user are two.
Remember that MetFoam 2015 will be held at Hotel Porta Fira in Barcelona Spain from August 31st to September 2nd 2015.

At this point, I am pleased to finally inform you that the hard copies of flash drives and proceeding books of Metfoam 2013 is ready to be shipped out as well.
